Jesse, a lesbian who has recovered from her religious Texan rearing. Knowing that her mother, who has thrown Jesse out from the family is now ready to reconcile with her after eight years of silence, she returns to her home in Amarillo. Jesse's younger brother, Clay, deceives Jesse in order to get her to see her mother.
