A group of friends have developed a penchant for peculiar dinner parties. They fetch a live carp from its halfway-house in a bath half-full of water and prepare to kill and cook it, but, with a loud slap, it flips its way clear of the chopping board and onto the floor, where it promptly disappears. It can't have vanished, they reason, and set about looking for it, but cannot find it anywhere. Soon, they start to hear strange slapping, flapping noises coming wetly from beneath chairs and tables and where shadows gather in the corner of rooms. But the fish is nowhere to be seen...
