Justice R.K. Chaudhary lives in a palatial house with his ailing wife, Janki, and a Police Inspector son named Ramesh. Ramesh gets married to Lata and the family settles down to a harmonious relationship. Chaos breaks out within the family when Ramesh is arrested for possession of a suitcase full of cash, he is charged and sentenced to a lengthy term in prison by none other than his very own father. While in prison, Chaudhary goes to visit Ramesh to get some background information from him about this suitcase, and this is when he is told that he was the one that gave Ramesh the suitcase. A stunned Chaudhary, who has never accepted any bribe in all his life, must now come to terms with his very own son's accusation, and find a way to reconcile with this stigma on his family's character.
