Charlotte (Amanda Bearse) is a 40-year-old lesbian living in Los Angeles whom brings her lover Meg (Michele Greeen), a 30-something divorcée with two young kids, for a family reunion in Charlotte's hometown in Alabama the year following the death of Charlotte's parents.
