Tele-C, a private German TV station, is in trouble. The audience rating is going down, and program manager Conny Schiffer is desperate. One evening - his best showmaster is interviewing a goat at the moment - he decides to make some changes. Listening to the radio, he hears Hannes Engel, a very creative and special DJ. Unfortunately, Hannes' wife Maria, an actress, has just been thrown off the cast of a major Tele-C TV pic and therefore Conny does not find him in the most receptive mood when trying to hire him for the exact same station.
