Employed as a mere waiter in Sanman Restaurant, Rajiv Bhatnagar dreams of news-reporter, Geeta Kapoor. Imagine his delight when she approaches him to find out if he was a witness in a recent murder. Rajiv decides to lie in order to be close to Geeta, and agrees to be publicly interviewed on national television. During this interview, he unwittingly admits that he saw the killer, and describes a man, he saw in the elevator.
