After spending a year in a mental instituton, Molly Peters finally returns home to her mother. Soon, she begins to receive strange phone calls from Jennifer, her dead best friend, who has supposedly come back from the dead to avenge her death. When she is released from a mental hospital to the care of her mother (Patricia Tallman), Molly begins hallucinating and having recurring nightmares about her friend.
